Pedicle Measurement: < 6.5 mm is short

Cross sectional Area: < 100 mm2 and < 10 mm AP defines spinal canal stenosis, judgement on degree (< 70 mm2 at L3 has been shown in cadaveric studies to cause increased pressure on CE roots)
Redundant Nerve Roots: Signifies critical lumbar spinal stenosis
Congenital Spinal Stenosis: Usually secondary to congenitally short pedicles (< 6.5 mm)
